In truth I did not willingly relay the terms of your employment, but I was questioned closely by a Warden to whom I am incapable of lying, who was then able to guess as to the generalities. I am not complicit in any conspiracies, and would not willingly cooperate in any effort to alter your mind.

Nevertheless, it falls to me to take responsibility for the initial information leak regardless of my willingness or unwillingness, and I will accept whatever sanction you choose.

For a reason similar to why I am incapable of obfuscation with you. The nature of our relationship is complex, sensitive and capable of destructiveness on both sides. The only way to regulate such a relationship is through a strict sense of honor.

Just so you know, the "conspiracy" you mentioned was never planned, nor intended. It was discussed, and never went beyond that.

I would like to know what these "countermeasures" might just be. Quite frankly, once you brought up the idea of erasing an inmate's mind to further your own plans, it seems like anything would be fair game.

Plans were, nevertheless, discussed. Deployment is not the issue. Raising it is. I should have been addressed.

Countermeasures will depend upon the situational circumstances.

The harmless and selective deletion of data was a proposed eventuality to deal with unnecessary complications which have threatened my assignment. Possession of the data was a result of the alternative Admiral's actions and not sanctioned. Removal of it was considered to preserve regulated circumstances of rehabilitation.

After consideration, an unforeseen compromise has been elected in its place to achieve the same result.

I've been studying educational methods. A teacher will typically notify students of a significant downgrade in their efforts, so that adjustments may be made. Shame can be a useful motivator.
